The Konsus company was incorporated in 2015. They received multiple rounds of funding from individuals and investment firms. As of January 2020, according to the company profile on Crunchbase, Konsus has received $5.1 million in funding.

According to their own about page, the Konsus mission is "to create more equal economic opportunities globally by finding and growing the world's best creative talent." The company serves as an agency for freelance designers for web design, graphic design, branding, PowerPoint, content creation, and more. They specifically state that they are not a marketplace and that they only work with 0.5% to 1% of applicants.

Konsus headquarters move from California to Oslo

When Konsus was first incorporated, its headquarters were listed in the San Francisco Bay Area of California. The company was first officially incorporated in Delaware, but also registered in California. Konsus surrendered its California registration in 2018, according to public records available through the California company registry website, and the headquarters were shifted to Oslo, Norway. As of January 2020, the company remains registered in Delaware.

Rebranding from Konsus to Superside

In September 2019, Konsus officially changed their service website from Konsus.com to Superside.com. They created a blog post to explain their reasoning. The post indicates that their original service site, Konsus.com, "did everything under the sun" and that they worked for a broad variety of clients. The new site, Superside.com, was intended to serve fast growing brands. They also indicated that they were moving from a pay-as-you-go model to a subscription-based model. The site always offered both options, but the emphasis switched from the former to the latter with the rebranding.
