The Superside.com website is a reimagined and rebranded version of Konsus.com. Both sites served as an agency for freelance designers, but Superside has a narrower focus. According to their own blog, the rebranding allowed them to move toward more subscription-based services than pay-as-you-go services. They also acquired a new round of funding after rebranding to Superside.

The site emphasizes that they are not a marketplace for freelancers; rather they are an agency that provides services to clients utilizing carefully chosen freelancers. According to different portions of the site, Superside accepts only 1% or 0.5% of applicants.

How it works

The Superside.com site works primarily on a consultation basis. They encourage new customers, in more than one location, to simply submit a contact request to discuss their needs.

An order wizard is also available. This tool walks a user through different pages and options, based on the initial project type chosen, and includes, price-per-hour estimates.

After completing the order wizard, a user is asked to create their account. Account creation requires a name, email, and phone number; the user also selects a password at this point. The user is immediately returned to the order wizard after creating an account. The last page of the order wizard includes an area to add files, a text box for custom instructions, an option to begin work immediately or wait for a specific quote, and the option to add a payment method.

Pricing

Prices at Superside.com are generally based on an hourly rate. This rate often begins at $35 per hour and is increased for shorter deadlines or "premium" quality work. The premium quality upgrade increases the base rate per hour while standard deadlines generally run at 48 hours or greater and more urgent rates are offered at 24 and 12 hours for increased rates.

Different project types have slightly different order placement processes and may have different cost breakdowns.

It appears that it is possible to use the Superside site without having a subscription, but they strongly encourage clients to consider one of their three subscription plans. Each plan's cost covers a certain amount of design hours each month and access to strategy consultants and project managers provided by Superside. As of January 2020, the three plans offered are:

• Essentials. $1000 per month, includes 20 to 30 design hours each month and 1 project manager.
• Standard. $3000 per month, includes 60 to 90 design hours each month, 2 project managers, and up to 4 dedicated designers.
• Enterprise. $15,000 per month, includes a highly customized plan and "multiple dedicated project managers."
