ProEdit.com is a project service that supports business communication by developing written projects, designing e-learning, staffing communicators, and training writers. ProEdit was founded in 1992 to help businesses of all sizes write, staff, and train. According to its WhoIs Record, the ProEdit.com domain was created on October 30, 1996. Today, ProEdit serves more than 2,000 clients. ProEdit’s motto is “Putting people to work.”

Writers and editors

ProEdit is home to an award-winning team of copywriters, editors, formatters, recruiters, technical writers, and trainers. ProEdit has an in-house team of between 10-50 employees. As a staffing service, ProEdit maintains one of America’s largest databases of qualified talent with more than 60,000 professionals located throughout the country.

ProEdit routinely staff business analysts, content developers, editors, instructional designers, and technical writers from cities including Atlanta, Boston, Charlotte, Denver, Houston, Los Angeles, New York, Philadelphia, Portland, Seattle, Washington D.C., and more.

Pricing

Pricing is not posted on the website; prices vary per project. 

For editing services, clients must upload their materials using an online form, and the ProEdit staff will provide a quote after reviewing the content.

For copywriting, technical writing services, and staffing, clients must contact ProEdit directly to receive a quote. 

In July 2019, we contacted the ProEdit team, and they declared pricing depends on the size and scope of the project. One-time projects are priced on an hourly basis; for example, a simple writing project involving an in-house copywriter and editor would be approximately a 2-hour charge at $72/hr. On-going projects work off of an on-demand statement of work with a retainer fee and an eight hours minimum.

ProEdit.com provides project, staffing, and training services. 

Projects consist of copywriting, editing, courseware development, design, and technical documentation. Copywriting includes blog writing, brand literature, brochure copy, promotional articles, proposals, website content. Editing services include academic editing, copyediting, proofreading, and technical editing. Technical documentation includes technical writing services and technical illustration services.

ProEdit’s staffing services help businesses increase the capacity of their in-house teams and fill positions such as business analysts, content developers, editors, instructional designers, marketing specialists, and technical writers.

ProEdit offers training services, including three technical writing courses and two instructional design courses. They offer both contract and direct-hire staffing solutions, and source talent both locally and nationally. Staffing content developers create written and visual content for both print and online media, such as articles, brochures, document templates, logos, marketing materials, and website copy. Editing staffing editors are experts in brevity, clarity, mechanics, style, and tone. Technical writing staffing connects clients to writing experts on specialized topics.
