The SimpleTense website has been active since late 2014. It is owned by SimpleTense Inc., a Texas company that is currently headquartered in California. The terms on the SimpleTense site indicate that the jurisdiction of any arbitration is Delaware, but there is no record of the SimpleTense company being registered in Delaware.
Most of the site is in Chinese and not all of it can be translated, but the about page on the site does indicate that their primary interest is in helping overseas students, particularly Chinese students, overcome the obstacle of writing in a second language.
How it works
Using the SimpleTense site may be challenging for users who do not speak Chinese as not all the pages can be translated by Google. In many areas the site includes English as well as Chinese, but not for all text. The account creation process is simple if the customer signs in with Facebook, but creating an account with an email address requires the user to navigate more untranslated Chinese. The live chat support is also in Chinese.
Once a customer has opened an account, the order placement process is relatively simple. There are four different service types to choose from: "paper service," "science work," "study abroad application," and "job search training." Beyond this, the order form is a single page that gathers the instructions for the work provided.
After an order has been submitted and paid for, the service will assign a writer to work on the order. The client is able to interact with the writer through the SimpleTense website and completed orders are emailed to the client.
Prices
The prices at SimpleTense are based on document type, deadline, and academic level. There are no optional add-ons to choose from on the order form, so the client can expect to pay what the price calculator on the public site suggests.
SimpleTense has a five-level loyalty program. New clients start at what is called plastic level with no perks, but beyond that are bronze, gold, platinum, and diamond levels. These four higher levels are achieved after the client spends $500, $1,000, $2,500, and $5,000 respectively. Each level offers a credit and the highest three levels come with other itemized perks and a discount on orders placed.
