SmartWritingService emphasizes academic content, but offers many services of different types that include technical writing, business writing, and creative writing. They have been an active writing site since 2014 and are one of many custom writing sites owned by One Freelance Limited, a UK-based company. Their support teams are located in the Ukraine and Latvia.

How it works

The SmartWritingService ordering process begins with what they call a "free inquiry." This involves setting up an account, if a client is a first-time user, or logging in if a client already has an account. The inquiry form gathers all the information required to fully place an order including document type, subject area, number of pages, deadline, academic level, and custom instructions. When this is complete it creates an order in the client's account.

A client is able to interact with the SmartWritingService support team about this order, they can edit it, or they can submit payment and make the order visible to writers. Once an order has been paid for, it spends a certain amount of time in the "writer pending" status, something the client can see presented by a progress bar in their account.

When a writer has been assigned to an order, the client is able to interact with that writer to ask or answer questions and provide files if necessary. Completed orders are made available to download.

Pricing

The SmartWritingService prices are presented in a table for a potential client to review. In general, per-page prices scale up based on complexity level and urgency. When placing an order, the client is also able to select from a number of optional add-ons that improve their experience. These add-ons include receiving a copy of the sources used by the writer, samples of the writer's previous work so a client can evaluate their ability, and what the service calls a "smart paper," a final draft that includes commentary to help the client understand the process and content.
