Full story
The Bid4Papers website has been serving as a custom academic writing and editing marketplace since 2013. Though its parent company has changed over the years, its look and function have remained much the same.
How it works
As a bidding marketplace, Bid4Papers uses a two-part order placement process. In the first part, the client provides general order information and must either log in or provide an email address. If the client is a first time user, this creates their Bid4Papers account and allows them access to a dashboard for order tracking and future order placement.
There is a minimal version of the order form on the home page of the Bid4Papers site, but the full order form must be completed before an order is submitted to writers. Using this form, a client must provide general requirements like deadline and page count, more specific instructions like order type and subject, and any attachments or detailed guidance that might be helpful.
Once the order has reached this point, writers will begin placing bids for the client to consider. The site provides an estimated price based on the order details, but the client can consider as many or as few writer offers as they wish. It is possible to view writer profiles and communicate with the writers before choosing one for the order.
After a writer is accepted, there is a staggered payment release system in which the client pays for portions of the order as it is completed. The client also has the chance to communicate with the writer and observe the progress as the order is completed. Once the order is finished, the client can download their order and rate the writer.
Prices
The pricing model for Bid4Papers has two facets. The first is in order placement when a client chooses between writing and editing, how many pages they need, and what deadline they want. This creates a general framework for the order price, but the second facet comes in writer selection. Because it is a bidding system, writers will submit their prices to a client and that client can choose which one they want working on their order based on the writer's price point and profile information.

Refund policy
What happens if you are unhappy with writing services from Bid4papers.com and want your money back? We looked for a clear refund policy page and found the following.
No, this writing service doesn't seem to offer refunds.
"All the funds loaded to your Bid4Papers.com account, or reserved for a specific order, which have not yet been released to your writer, are 100% refundable, until you proceed to the last stage/part of an order. The payments used for a specific order will be refunded to your account in case you cancel the order (excluding payments for the additional service "Featured order"). You can, however, only claim back the amount that has not yet been paid to the writer using the "Release" button."

Other useful information
